Nike LunarGlide+ Trial Training Run

Registration tent.

Signing the attendance.

Each of us were issued a BIB to wear during the run. Luckily brought the TackOnz along.

The first 20 participants also had a chance to try the new Nike+ SportBand.

The new Nike+ Sportband and sensor to be inserted into the left shoe.

The Nike van with the Nike LunarGlide+ for the participants to try. Just had to exchange it with our running shoe.

The Nike LunarGlide+ and Nike+ Sportband.

Run briefing.

Ming from Nike giving us a briefing on the LunarGlide+ and Sportband. There was no need to calibrate the sensor. All we need to do was to press and hold onto the round button until a "Walk" is displayed on the LED. We just walked around to let the Sportband "sync" with the sensor. We were told not to walk close with each other just in case it syncs the wrong sensor.

Ben Pulham from Racers Toolbox leading us for the warming up. We were doing dynamic warming up instead of the usual static warm up which he said should be used for cooling down after physical activities.

The main idea is to keep the muscles in motion to get the blood flowing to the limbs. It is just like what Michael Phelps does at the pool every time before a race.

Next we had ..

.. forward launches. It was followed by backward launches.

Dont know how to describe this but its sort of like dancing.

About to start ..

Activating the Sportbands on our arms.

LunarGlide+ in action.

Adopted a slow pace to make it a recovery run as I had ran 23km at MR yesterday morning.

Ben leading us in the cooling down with static stretching exercises.

At the end of the session, there was a quiz with prizes to be won. The grand prize was a pair of Nike LunarGlide+.
